ABOUT

Jessica Kooiman

Jessica believes that clothing should be fun, unique, and beautiful; something that children want to wear every day. She was an intern at Joynoelle her sophomore year where she learned how to hand embellish garments. After working on a wearable alarm system for NASA she was presented with a Student Design and Scholarship Excellence award.

As an undergrad, Jessica completed an Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) where she studied the effects of clothing on children with autism. Ultimately she’d like to design clothing for this group of children.

Jessica was asked to show her line "French Florals" in Omaha Fashion Week where she received warm reviews.
